Cakewalk/SONAR Instrument Definition File
for the Yamaha A5000 Professional Sampler.

Works in Single program Mode & Multi Program Mode..

This file has been created as a template with the "Pgm" No.s 001 - 128 empty,
when I say "empty" I actually mean "Pgm" because this is precisley what you
see on the Yamaha A5000's default Play Mode display LCD screen so this is
reflected in this *.ins file upon boot-up of the Yamaha A5000 Professional Sampler..

The Yamaha A5000 will still receive blank information and change the
appropriate patch depending upon which numbers are selected from 001 - 128
If you create custom Programs (Pgms) of samples then you could simply make
a copy of this Yamaha A5000 Instrument Definition File template and substitute
the word "Pgm" for a name more applicable for each bank or Pgm of samples loaded
into A5000's RAM memory from Pgm 001 - 128

I suspect this Yamaha A5000 Instrument Definition File will work for the
Yamaha A4000 Professional Sampler also..

Most Yamaha products respond to the typical Controller 000 and 032 for
selecting Patch Changes, In Cakewalk/SONAR this is refered to as "Normal"..

As stated above, this *.ins file Works in both Single program Mode & Multi Program Mode.

In order that Cakewalk/SONAR can communicate with the A5000 you need to select
two distinct MIDI Ports in the OPTIONS plull-down menu and select the MIDI
DEVICES.. Once the dialogue window opens click on the appropriate MIDI
Devices, this will highlight them and then ensure SONAR can find them for
use later.

When you select an empty MIDI Track in SONAR you select which MIDI Port you
would like to transmit the MIDI data to, in this case its the MIDI Port
connected to the Yamaha A5000, and so on until you have connected 2x16
channels across 2 x MIDI Ports..

See importing Instrument Definitions File in your Cakewalk/SONAR manual.
